landed in Santiago, the capital of Chile, marking that the quality of Chengdong’s products has been highly recognized and opening a new chapter in the market.
Chile is rich in mineral resources, has a high level of mining development, and is one of the countries with the best mining investment environment. In addition, the
stable development of Chile’s overall economy and copper mining is an important pillar of Chile’s economy. Chile’s copper reserves reach about 150 million tons, accounting
for nearly 30% of the world’s reserves, ranking first. Copper production accounts for one third of the world’s output. Chile’s economy is developing steadily. As of 2017, the
total GDP was 277.076 billion, ranking first in South America.
The South American project development team of Chengdong Campsite Division visited and inspected the Coya campsite of El Teniente copper mine near Chile’s
Rancagua. The campsite can accommodate 1,700 people at the same time. Management office building, standard accommodation for senior management personnel,
worker accommodation building, on-site management personnel accommodation building, activity room, recreation room, general hospital, laundry room, canteen-kitchen,
drinking water treatment station, sewage treatment station, etc., nine systems are fully equipped , The standard is higher. The entire camp area is managed in a hotel style,
with complete catering and laundry services, so that workers can devote themselves to work more fully, eliminating a lot of worries.
Accompanied by local engineers, we visited the accommodations of local workers and on-site managers. The whole room was clean and tidy. The workers’ area was
equipped with shared toilets and showers, and the manager’s area was equipped with separate toilets. According to local laws, the space occupied by each worker cannot
be less than 10 cubic meters, so the entire room looks bright and spacious, and the accommodation environment is very comfortable.
The whole canteen is made of steel structure material, which feels durable as a whole, and the seismic components on the roof protect it from disasters in Chile, where
earthquakes are frequent. The functional zoning is obvious: dining area and operation area, all kinds of supporting facilities are complete and equipped with smoke exhaust
facilities, and activities in the operation area will not affect the air in the dining area. The cafeteria has complete supporting services and a wide variety of food and
beverages, which guarantees the quality of meals for employees.
The setting of the recreation room also enriches the activities of workers after work and relieves the boring sense of camp life. The setting of the table tennis table also
adds to the diversity and interest of the activities.
At the cordial invitation of Mr. Carlos, President of D&C Group, the South American project development team of Chengdong Camp Division participated in the opening
ceremony of its La Divisa intermodal station in San Bernardo. The launch of this railway line serves the Chilean capital and the port of San Antonio. Career is of great
significance. In the context of the “One Belt One Road” initiative, it has laid a logistics foundation for trade between China and Chile, facilitated the entry of Chengdong’s
