The Kano State Irrigation Project Camp of China Hydropower is the first order signed by Chengdong Nigerian Subsidiary with Chinese central enterprise.
The construction period of this project will last 3 years, and the driving distance between the location of the project manager department and the project site will take
more than one and a half hours. The field engineers of China Hydropower need to get up at 5:30 every morning,leave between 6 a.m.and 6:30a.m.taken with armed police so can get to
the site before 8 a.m. Because of the long distance, we have to take the armed police to leave the project site from 2:30 to 3 in the afternoon
and rush to the manager’s department.It’s spent on the road every day. Time 3-4 hours.
Kano State is located in the north-central part of Nigeria, not very far from the turbulent northeastern three states. If these engineers are exposed to the roads
between the two places for a long time regularly and frequently,it will inevitably increase the Chinese as targets of armed kidnapping. The personal safety of the Chinese
engineering personnel is precisely the primary concern of the leaders of the China Hydropower Unit.Therefore,after several times discussion with the Nigerian subsidiary of Chengdong,
the two parties deal the cooperation way that we will send supervisor to help the local installation works.After a week,226㎡ were installed and passed the owner’s acceptance.
This is a successful case of our team work at home and abroad, and it is also another report submitted by Chengdong Nigerian subsidiary to the headquarters!
